Wonga

I built a range of custom modules including a Wonga .NET API interface, Amazon database deployment module and a custom PHPunit test system.  This role also involved implementation of i18n/translation techniques to support the international release of wonga.com to South Africa and Canada.  Planning all aspects of front-end development, managing business expectations and delivering new features on time and ensuring quality using PHPunit and selenium integration scripts.  Managing releases using Continuous Integration.  Construction of a development environment deployment system to push git repositories to WIP and RC dev servers using Drush.  I consulted on the use of Varnish (static page caching) and Memcache (database caching) to aid in performance.  I used the Splunk (server logs interface) tool to analyse and identify site discrepancies.  I designed and built a spam bot protection module to help avoid the use of captcha.
